It has long been understood that EQ can outweigh ‘book smarts’ (IQ) when it comes to our careers and personal lives, which is precisely why ei.company was created – rather than leaving behaviour to operate on autopilot, the company coaches skills and strategies to help people navigate everyday life in a way that will guide them towards their success.
Managing Director, Gary Hosey explains: “Oli excelled in his apprenticeship, achieving a distinction which a was testament to his dedication and willingness to apply himself to new situations. I wanted to nurture that talent, and Oli made the role his own – our clients always have positive feedback about him, and he’s an integral part of the team.”
Oli Blenkinsop shadowed Gary for 18 months and has completed EQ-i 2.0 and EQ360 certification. He will initially focus on individuals in the 20 – 30 year age range, dubbed ‘emerging talent’ and recently delivered a workshop to Waltons Business Advisers in Hartlepool.
He said: “I love working with people and seeing them achieve their potential, unpicking those sticking points. It’s a privilege to be on that journey with them.”
Founded in 2009, ei.company has trained over 10,000 people globally and certified almost 200 to enable them to deliver emotional intelligence training in-house with the EQ-i 2.0. The company works with businesses including Banks Group, Hitachi and Universal Music Group and is on an exciting growth journey with a pipeline of exciting opportunities due to come to fruition in the next few months.
Gary adds: “Oli has a promising career ahead of him here at ei.company. Long-term, he will undertake further training to broaden his skill set and support his goals; we’re proud of everything he has achieved so far and his contribution to the team, and we look forward to seeing his journey unfold.”
